In The Land Of Women

Too bad this poster doesn't show who he kisses first, then you'd really wonder wouldn't you. But it's Adam Brody so of course if you're a "woman" you're gonna want to kiss him. Now with this statement you're probably wonder who he kissed first, well I'll guess you'll have to just see the movie for your self.

As a Brody fan myself I was excited to see this movie since the last thing I saw him in besides "The O.C." was "Grind", and I don't count "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" because he was barely in it. I can say I thought I knew what this movie was about going into it, seeing the previews....Little did I know that it was some what different.

This movie is about a young man named Carter (Adam Brody) who lives in Los Angeles and writes, more specifically soft porn (although this really doesn't play that big a part in the film). Carter's highly famous girlfriend breaks up with him and so in trying to figure some things out heads to a suburban Detroit to look after his crazy grandmother who claims she is dying. In the land of women really is about being surrounded about 3 different generations of women all different.

I'm kinda left on the fence about this one, I really liked it, but at the same time I wasn't really sure how I felt. The humor was awesome, the grandmother made it for me with her strange comments, especially about death. I thought the acting was well done even if I think Kristen Stewart looked a little too thin.

I do recommend seeing this movie, simply because its a good story line and theres a lot of emotion, but I guess thats what you get the majority of the movie is filled with women.

I give it 3.5 IceCream Scoops out of 5
Rated PG-13 for sexual content, thematic elements and language.

Fast Food Nation

For Starters I think I might be sick. And Better yet I don't think I'm gonna be eating much fast food for quite some time. It may be fiction, but it still makes me really wonder about the world of the fast food restaurants.

This movie takes you inside the world of "Mickey's" from the top of the corporation to the illegal immigrants that work in the meat packing plant. It is a really good movie, in the sense that it shows you a world that most people don't see. And it's a no mercy kind of film, they show everything and maybe thats what made me sick. I'm not exactly a fan of seeing a cow being slaughtered.

If you wanna watch something different, and challenge you to think about fast food watch it. But be wary its not for everyone.

I give it 3.5 IceCream Scoops out of 5
Rated R for disturbing images, strong sexuality, language and drug content.
