Transformers

It’s the summer of movies, big movies. Threequels and sequels and every other possible blockbuster hit. I seen some of them and to my disappointment they haven’t lived up their anticipated trailers. There are 2 big movies that I have been anticipating for quite sometime and now I have seen one of them and that movie is well obviously Transformers. Although I admit was not an original Transformers fan I do remember watching the attempted remake Canadian version entitled Beast Machines: Transformers.

The trailers for this film had me from day one and I was hoping it would live up to its much anticipated release. So when I finally saw the movie to say the least I was by no means disappointed, it surpassed my expectations to be one of the best movies I seen in a while. It’s action packed from the minute it starts to the second that the film is over. The acting is well done, the special effects superb, just an all out fantastic job.

It maybe a little sci-fi, aliens and all but its got a story line to keep you hooked and lots of emotion considering it’s a bunch of transforming vehicles. Or me it’s just me that gets emotionally attached to characters. Basically it’s the story about 2 fighting alien robot races bringing the ultimate battle to earth, but its one heck of a battle at that.

I recommend to see this movie, don’t wait till it comes on dvd, you should see it now. It’s not gonna be a let down.

I give It 5 Ice Cream Scoops out of 5
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action violence, brief sexual humor, and language.

Ratatouille

Usually rats and restaurants don't belong together, the infestation is a gross enough thought in itself. Yet Disney and Pixar have made work. A movie about a rat with an impeccable sense of smell and a strong ability to cook. And of course what better place to have the movie set than in France with its large amount high end restaurants and weird over priced food.

I had been waiting months to finally see this movie after watching previews of it over the last year, and although it was a good movie, a lot the best stuff was in the previews. I must though even though it wasn't the greatest Disney film, not in near their hit of cars but I still did enjoy it.

If you like Disney then go enjoy it with the family or friends, but save you're money and make it a matinée. Go watch a rat cook, and have fun

I give it 3 Ice Cream Scoops out of 5.
