All you have to do is hear the word "Twilight" and immedietly almost everyone knows what you're talking about. You either hate the movie or you love it, there's no real in between. Unless you ofcourse you're a closet Twilight Lover. It's an enormous growing fad in the industry, everywhere you look now its Vampires.
I'll admit I love this movie, so much infact after viewing it I bought the books and preceded to see the movie 4 times in the theatres before purchasing it when it arrived on dvd. And I'm only 1 of millions of girls who felt the same way.
I've decided to review this movie in an un-biased way. Taking out my own feelings towards it and being completely honest.
What first caught my attention for this movie was the lead actor, as I was curious I looked up what the story line was about and was very impressed. It's the story of impossible love and to me those always make a great story. Upon finally seeing the movie I noted several things, the acting was below good standards and even contained some particularily horrible cheesey lines.
The biggest disappointment was in fact the acting as I'd had the chance to see many of them in other films which created a higher standard for me. I blame the bad acting partially on the script and direction from the author of the book. There's always the chance that an author is so particular with their book becoming a film that it doesn't give the actors a chance to really adapt a character.
The most impressive part of the whole movie was the scenery, it was visually appealing as they chose specific colours to depict certain things. The action sequence was also impressively done.
Another fantastic drawing point was the music, not only the fantastic score of the movie which set the tone, but the music provided by different musicians, it's not your traditional music, its different and thats what makes it good.
I give it 3 IceCream Scoops out of 5
Rated PG-13 for some violence and a scene of sensuality
