I could tell from the previews that this would be a great film to see, a wonderful family film based on some true events. This film was beautiful and sad and in ways you can see the reality. The acting was good even for the who portrays the Martian child.
This film is about a famous writer who decides to adopt because it is what his late wife had wanted to do. The story follows his relationship with the boy who believes he is from mars and does things so much differently. The stress of it all and how they come love each other as father and son.
This move is emotion filled and a loveable family film with its quirky and funny moments and also the sad and angry moments that happen in families. This movie is wonderful and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in a traditional family film that is just as enjoyable as well as it is heart warming. You don’t see many good family flicks these days and as far as family ones go this is by far one of the best I’ve seen in years.
I give it 3.5 IceCream Scoops out of 5
Rated PG for thematic elements and mild language.
